Bishops Cannings Village Car Park: Planning Application Update
Residents within the Parish would wish to know that updated plans have been submitted to the Wiltshire Council Planning Officer. These documents and drawings are now available to study under planning reference: PL/2024/08280. The Chair of the Parish Council has written a covering letter which is included within this package of documents.
Amended plans have been submitted as a result of the Crown Estate’s generous offer to the Parish Council – in association with the tenant farmer – of more land for the car park extension. The updated drawings, reports and other documents reflect this change.
The Parish Council has made clear that the car park is but one element of a coherent and comprehensive effort, collectively designed to enhance road safety within the village of Bishops Cannings. In this, it continues to work collaboratively with Wiltshire Council on a range of improvements. An extensive programme of engagement with stakeholders has taken place to explain this approach.
The next Parish Council meeting will be on Thursday 13 February at the Village Hall, starting at 7:30pm. Residents are welcome to attend. Meanwhile you can view and comment on the plans via the Wiltshire Council planning portal.
